From Vancouver.....

Thank you, Fran & Stan, for our incredible puppy, Trevor.  We have had him for 3 months now, & I wanted to send you a full update as to how he is doing, & how much we are all enjoying him. Trevor is such a sweet & loving pup.  He has fit right in to our household, & life in Vancouver.  I should say at this point that coming out to North Battleford to pick up Trevor was a highlight for me.  You were so helpful before I came out, & then when I did arrive, picking me up at the airport, welcoming me into your home & having me for dinner was above & beyond anything that I was expecting.

I could tell from being in your home that you really love these dogs, & that you are doing a great job of breeding & raising loving, well adjusted & good-natured puppies.  I can also tell that you really care about each little doxie, & that you are genuinely interested in how everyone is doing once they leave your farm.

Trevor is a great fit for our family.  He spends his nights sleeping with the three kids, in rotation.  He loves to burrow under the covers & settle in for a good cuddle at night.  He is totally adaptable with his walks & exercise.  My 6 yr old can take him out on the leash around the block, or to the park up the street & back home.  When I go into the forest trails on the weekend, he can join me with much bigger dogs from the neighborhood, & have an hour long run off leash through the trails.  He sure is tired after that!  It is amazing to me that he can adapt to both kinds of exercise, & it means that he fits in with whatever we as a family are doing.  He also likes drives in the car, & will sit on somebody's lap for a cuddle while we are on our way.  We are looking forward to taking Trevor on vacation this summer to the interior, where we expect he will also enjoy the beach, as well as short trips on the boat (with a lifejacket on, of course)!

The kids have really enjoyed bringing Trevor to the park, where he will chase balls & play for hours.  He is equally happy with settling into the sofa with the kids for a good cuddle while watching a movie.  He is always a big hit when I bring him along to school playground when it is time to pick up the kids.  He loves to meet new people, but also sticks really close to the family, as he is extremely loyal.  The kids have taught him to sit & to shake a paw, as well as to find & recognize certain tree stumps & flat rocks in the forest.  When he jumps up on these, he gets a treat.  Trevor gets along well with other dogs, & will stop & play with dogs many times his size.  He is not shy when meeting new dogs, & he seems to always be up for some fun.  However, he usually has a hard time convincing our cat to play with him, but he still tries!

In short, (no pun intended), this little guy is the perfect family pet.  He is playful, loyal, loving, full of personality, & an overall great companion.  We are so lucky that we found you, & that you let me bring this great little guy home to my family in Vancouver.  Thanks for everything.

Hi guys! Thank you so much for letting us have Nino in our family! He is such a good, well behaved little wiener dog, and Hubby, the kids and I all love him very much! He is just as you said he would be.  I'm so glad that we found you - a responsible, honest breeder who really does care about the well-being of your dogs and puppies! I cant wait till May when we can come get our little silver dapple girl! And I'm recommending your puppies to all the wiener-dog lovers I know, because they are quality dogs, who will enrich the lives of whoever falls in love with them! Thanks again! - Jo Burnett

We bought a puppy from Dachshund Mania & are very happy with our dog & the personal service they provide.

They know their dogs & overflow with information on the dachshund breed.  They  answered every question I had & love to hear how our Jasmin is doing.  The puppy pack they sent with Jasmin went above & beyond what I expected.

I could write more but I think the best testimonial to the quality of these dogs & the love of the breeders is that we have already set in motion the plans to be a return customer!

The Bed Puppy

Now I lay me down to sleep,

The king-size bed is soft and deep....

I sleep right in the center groove

My human being can hardly move!

I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight

And here is where I pass the night.

No one disturbs me or dares intrude

Till morning comes & "I want food!!"

I sneak up slowly to begin

My nibbles on my human's chin.

She wakes up quickly,

I have sharp teeth -

I'm a puppy, don't you see?

For the morning's here

and it's time to play

I always seem to get my way.

So thank you Lord for giving me

This human person that I see.

The one that hugs and holds me tight

And shares her bed with me at night!

When God had made the earth & sky, the flowers & the trees

He then made all the animals, the fish, the birds & bees.

and when at last He'd finished, not one was quite the same.

He said, "I'll walk this world of mine & give each one a name".

And so He traveled far & wide & everywhere He went

A little creature followed Him, until it's strength was spent.

When all were named upon the earth, & in the sky & sea,

The little creature said, "Dear Lord, there's not one left for me".

Kindly the Father said to him, "I've left you to the end.

I've turned my own name back to front & called you dog, my friend.

God made a little dachsie to brighten up our day-

He took a bit of sunshine-Laughter, love, and play-

and rolled it up in a sausage shape just right for a hug,

with bright eyes full of mischif set in its little mug.

With little paws a pattering, to take it here and there-

and a cold wet nose-but then He thought, "Oh, what about the hair?

Shall I make it long and silky, or wiry, that's so sweet,

or make it simple, and have it smooth and satiny and neat?

And what about the color-how can I pick just one?

Shall it be black, or red or brown or dappled, just for fun?"

He pondered while He made the world, and all creatures great and small-

And then the answer came to Him-"OF COURSE! I'll make them ALL!!"

So remember that a dachshund is special, from above-

His coat of many colors is a sign of God's great Love.
